I have worked as a Community Theatre Director and Facilitator since 2004 when I graduated from Dartington College of Arts with a BA in Theatre (and later, an MA). I have worked both on a freelance basis and as a full-time drama worker for acta Community Theatre in Bristol.
I have run regular Youth Theatres as well as intergenerational groups and Theatre Companies led by people with learning difficulties including The Misfits Theatre Company. Working with groups of people who might not ordinarily get the chance to tell their story inspires me.
My focus is to create safe, fun and welcoming spaces for people to express themselves, share their stories, and learn devising, writing and performance skills to make new and relevant theatre.
I don't hold auditions and all my sessions are open to anyone who wants to take part. People are free to explore their creativity without being judged.
